“New suburbs often observed as undesirable and potential-less over time may prove many commentators incorrect. Satellite suburbs when created are deemed by some as slums in the making, repetitive red brick eyesores. Often as time passes they become the potential laden ‘next thing’, blooming with opportunity and hope.

Demand due to reduced supply increases, and the cookie cutter uniformity of the ‘satellite’ suburb fades, recreated and washed with desirability. Urban sprawl forces the provision of services, initially denied or inferior, to be integrated and upgraded. These once undesirable places become the early rung on the ladder of the suburban crawl.” – Rebecca Pierce
