Rebecca has worked with several charities and non-profit organisations.
Designing artwork and educational materials for community awareness, including posters, pamphlets, and signage. Rebecca’s art has often been used to highlight many serious Australian social issues.
In 1987, Rebecca was appointed Creative Director of NAPCAN (National Association for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect). This independent Australian charity produces national campaigns and distributes free resource material that promotes positive alternatives to create awareness of and prevent child abuse. NAPCAN works with National, State Government and Non-Government organisations to develop child protection legislation, policies and practices that are in the best interests of children.
Rebecca has been involved with ACCAP (Australian Council for Children and Parenting), an advisory body to the Federal Government and the charity GOOD BEGINNINGS AUSTRALIA, a Parenting Project providing support to parents and communities to create nurturing environments in which babies and young children can thrive.
She has also worked with FIRST STEPS COUNT, Child and Family Centre, a lighthouse project designed to create a welcoming and safe environment where families and services come together to provide the best possible opportunity for children to become caring contributing members of the community.
Rebecca has collaborated with ZOO FRIENDS for Taronga Zoo Sydney and Dubbo, Membership Programs.
On Australia Day 2005 Rebecca was awarded the Order of Australia medal for services to child protection and community service.
