Alliances and Not-for-Profit Organisations

Rebecca Pierce OAM has worked with several charities and not-for-profit organisations.

Designing artwork and educational materials for community awareness, including posters, pamphlets, and signage. Rebecca’s art has often been used to highlight many serious Australian social issues.

NAPCAN

In 1987, Rebecca Pierce OAM was appointed Creative Director of NAPCAN (National Association for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect). This independent Australian charity produces national campaigns and distributes free resource material that promotes awareness to prevent child abuse and neglect. NAPCAN works with National, State Government and Non-Government organisations to develop child protection legislation, policies and practices that are in the best interests of children.

ACCAP

Rebecca Pierce OAM has been involved with ACCAP (Australian Council for Children and Parenting), an advisory body to the Federal Government.

Good Beginnings

Rebecca Pierce OAM has been involved with GOOD BEGINNINGS AUSTRALIA, a Parenting Project providing support to parents and communities to create nurturing environments in which babies and young children can thrive.

First Steps Count

Rebecca Pierce OAM has also worked with FIRST STEPS COUNT, Child and Family Centre. 

First Steps Count is a collaborative hub offering activities and programs designed to support children aged 0-12 and their families in a safe, welcoming environment.

They aim to reduce barriers for children and create better access to supports and services when they are needed. They want to encourage people to work differently – working in partnership with families and encouraging organisations to work together to achieve better outcomes.

Zoo Friends

Rebecca Pierce OAM has collaborated with ZOO FRIENDS for Taronga Zoo Sydney and Dubbo, Membership Programs.

Order of Australia (OAM)

 

On Australia Day 2005 Rebecca was awarded the Order of Australia medal for services to child protection and community service.
